Clinics and Rehearsals.

I love visiting ensembles of all experience levels! Whether you are working with students who are just beginning or you are established professionals looking to polish final details, I’m excited to work with you on bringing the performance to the next level.

Masterclasses and Lessons.

I believe that music-making is a skill that can be learned by anyone, so I deeply enjoy working with writers of any level! I’m excited to get to know your and/or your students’ work!

Talks and Presentations.

I have over 12 years experience giving presentations on my work, approach to collaborations, and sharing what I’ve learned over my career as a composer. Whether you need something tailored to a casual audience of music lovers, a career workshop for highly-trained musicians, or are just looking for me to share more about my work and experiences, I can’t wait to build a presentation around your needs!

Rates

After a week of in-person clinics + performance at Northstar Middle School (2017)

Rehearsals, Clinics, Talks, and Presentations

In-person: $500 / day*, plus travel expenses. Travel days count as half days. Day rates cover all on-site activities (rehearsals, clinics, talks, presentations, lessons, and masterclasses).

*I currently offer discounts for groups based in Minnesota and Wisconsin, and steep discounts for groups in Washington and Oregon.

Virtual: $60 / hour* This can be split across two half-hours, as well!

*All commissions include two virtual rehearsals and/or talks for free.

Private Lessons, Group Lessons, and Masterclasses*

On-site private lessons, group lessons, and masterclasses are only available as part of the day rate listed above unless you live in Oregon or southern Washington. In-person rates for these locations are the same as below plus a travel fee (contact me directly for a quote).

Virtual Private Lessons (1-on-1) - $30 / half-hour, or $50 / hour. We can meet weekly, twice a month, or monthly.

Virtual Group Lessons (2 - 3 students max.) - $42 / half-hour, or $54 / hour. Each student will get an equal amount of time. Teachers may observe for no additional cost.

Virtual Masterclass (3 or more students in front of a group) - $20 per student participant (does not include observer-only students). So, if you have a class of 40 observing, but only 6 students are sharing music, you would only be charged for the 6 students. The exact duration / structure of the workshop can be determined collaboratively.

*Discounts are available for students in financial need. Please contact me directly if you or your student(s) would like to be considered for a reduced rate.
