After much delay due to the pandemic, Kimberly’s new trumpet concerto Kindred Spirits will finally receive it’s premiere! Commissioned by trumpet player Will Koehler and Pittsburg State University Wind Ensemble conductor Andrew Chybowski, this substantial work for trumpet and wind ensemble explores three legendary creatures that appear in multiple cultures: the ahuixotl, the moon rabbit, and the thunderbird. Kimberly will be in attendance at the premiere - come say hello!
