ROOTED is going on tour with the sjel Duo! sjel duo is made up of saxophonist Dr. Sarah Hetrick, Assistant Professor of Saxophone at the University of Arkansas, and percussionist Paul Millette, Assistant Professor of Practice in Percussion at the University of Texas, San Antonio. Most recently, sjel was featured on the opening concert of the 2022 North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference at the University of Southern Mississippi, and they have been invited to teach and give recitals throughout the United States. As avid supporters of new music, Paul and Sarah have commissioned new works from over thirty composers, including recent collaborations with Kimberly R. Osberg and Katahj Copley.
