Kimberly’s project, A Year of Trees, will be premiered at the World Forestry Center. The project, which commissioned 12 new works for string quartet from 12 Portland-based composers, will be presented by Fear No Music in collaboration with Chatter PDX, the Delgani String Quartet, Portland Fruit Tree Project, and the World Forestry Center. Interspersed with spoken word reflections from people who work with trees, along with opportunities to connect with community organizations, the world premiere is meant to act as a starting point for renewed action to protect our forests—both urban and wild.
