Whistling Hens performers Natalie Groom (clarinet) and Jennifer Piazza-Pick (soprano) will perform Hombres Necios at Smith College in Northampton, Massachussettes.

Commissioned by Whistling Hens in the fall of 2022, the work sets a poem by the same name from Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz—a Mexican writer, philosopher, composer, poet, and Hieronymite nun (1648-1695).
